Book review

As eyewitnesses say, everything I saw that day do not give hope for a proper parliamentary work. The government and MPs appeared enemies. A Minister of the Court Count Fredericks, returning home, said this first meeting: "These deputies are more like a pack of criminals awaiting the signal to slaughter all of the government sitting on the bench" .296 As subsequent events showed, it was close to the truth. On May 4, the State Duma appeals to the King with the requirement to make it accountable to all, without exception, the king's ministers, emergency measures against the political thugs, terrorists amnesty, the dissolution of the State Council. In fact, it was a transfer to it the fullness of state power. Simultaneously, the "people's representatives" raised the question of expropriation of privately owned, state, specific, cabinet, monastery and church lands, which threatened to turn Russia into a hotbed of civil war.
